So I finally figured out how to add more than one picture at a time~! The time out for women was quite an experience! On the way there, do to faulty directions, we ended up at the airport during rush hour traffic. I was the one driving, so I can tell you that was pretty stressfull, but we are unscathed! By the time we arrived at the hotel we didn't have a lot of time, so we spent it unwinding and getting dressed for the friday night activities. We went to tony roma's for dinner, it was very nice. As i was sitting in the front row I got a chance to meet Sheri Dew and I posed for a picture, but my friend didn't push the button hard enough so I ended up without one. but I can tell you I felt her love while her arm was around me. She is just such a genuine person! There was a thunder storm that night, or so my friend told me,..I slept right through it LOL. The second day proved to be better than the first. The first speaker was Mary Ellen Edmunds. Boy was she a hoot! I think I almost peed my pants she had me in stitches! There were also multiple performances by Hillary Weeks a contemporary lds artist who I fell in love with. her voice is so angellic! The messages were all so wonderful. I had many a teary eyed moment. I also had the chance to run into a friend of mine who just had a baby last month. I didin't take nearly as many pictures as I intended to as I was too busy enjoying myself! The ASL interpreters were great! We stopped at a gas station near the airport to fill up for the trip home, and nearly had a heart attack when a plane came roaring over our heads! We waited for the next one and snapped a few pictures! Then, on the drive home, there was a freak rain storm that was so intense and sparotic (spell?) but while it was pouring it was pretty impossible to see the road. still, I managed to keep my cool and get us home safely. Anyway, it was quite the weekend!

This was day two. the three of us are in YW together

So here we all are at the restaraunt just before the friday night event. in order from left to right: Aleccia Hofstetter, Meagan Sandor, Julie Fortier, Shauna Zobell, me, Fernanda Felix

So I've managed to get a lot of food storage stuff done despite the hold up at the border. my brazillian companion had a mix up with a date on one a travel form and we ended up waiting for over an hour to clear it up. While we waited we saw an arrest and a near arrest. I asked to use the bathroom, and they confiscated my passport and searched me before allowing me to actually go...it was crazy. Today miss Tabitha has her first two teeth emerging! I had a lot of fun with Chloe on her field trip and if I get a chance i will post some pictures of it. Tomorrow is leadership meetings in London, and then a week from today I will be in Mississauga for the TOFW conference. I plan on taking tons of pictures for that!

Amber's Sleepy Moments.....had we known she would be happy without a bed!! she tends to zonk out late afternoon where-ever she happens to be due to her late night chats with herself.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Amber. Today was one of her last visits with her home school teacher from Robarts school for the deaf. A lot of stuff coming up in the next two months! we have a meeting with the school board to discuss how best to meet amber's needs as she ventures into Junior Kindergarten in the fall. We also have some final visits approaching us, from some people who have been working with Amber for 2 and a half years now! next week we are going to the cannery, and then I head out to the Time Out for Women being held in mississauga. We are getting front row seats as I have requested an ASL interpreter to be present to help me more fully enjoy the event! Also, we are soon celebrating 10 years of marriage! at times I wonder where the time went! Then, that's not to mention I'm going with Chloe on a field trip while my neighbor has graciously offered to watch the other two children so I can have some special time with Chloe. Then there is a Robarts school end of year celebration at story book gardens too,.its a children's park in London. So yes, we will be very busy these next few months, but I will also have plenty of pictures to share too! Tabitha is already signing two words!! I am stoked about this as she is only 6 months old. The two words are Mommy and Milk! I'll have to try and catch her on the video camera. I can't begin to say how excited I am about that. I could go on for much longer, but I think I've said enough for now!

So its a beautiful day! I am making a sun dress for amber. she's very picky about what she wears and won't wear shorts. infact if i took everything out of her closet that she doesn't want to wear she wouldn't have much to pick from. I've made a decision that Amber is going to be homeschooled, and am trying to get organized so that I can start now. No time like the present! Fortunatley for JK and SK (junior and senior kindergarten) its half time, so amber will still be going to kindergarten, and being schooled at home until grade 1. Chloe of course is a socialite, and I fear we would butt heads too much if I even tried to homeschool her! I am going to plant some onions today. my apple tree is thriving and looks great! in a year or two i should have some home grown apples!! That's about it for now, I'll try and post a new picture each day since uploading seems to take forever I doubt i'll have the time for more than that.

So its been one of those rainy days, perfect for updating blogs. Tabitha doesn't have any teeth yet and she is now 6 months old. She is such a little cutie pie, and if i can ever get my picture uploads to go a little faster, I'll post one of her!

update

i finally figured out this password stuff and can now update things again! lets see...things have been busy around here, been getting to know some neighbors a little better. i planted an apple tree and its sprouting leaves, so i'm excited that it seems to be thriving so far. I am now going to try and upload some pictures and see if I am successful!
