So I finally figured out how to add more than one picture at a time~! The time out for women was quite an experience! On the way there, do to faulty directions, we ended up at the airport during rush hour traffic. I was the one driving, so I can tell you that was pretty stressfull, but we are unscathed! By the time we arrived at the hotel we didn't have a lot of time, so we spent it unwinding and getting dressed for the friday night activities. We went to tony roma's for dinner, it was very nice. As i was sitting in the front row I got a chance to meet Sheri Dew and I posed for a picture, but my friend didn't push the button hard enough so I ended up without one. but I can tell you I felt her love while her arm was around me. She is just such a genuine person! There was a thunder storm that night, or so my friend told me,..I slept right through it LOL. The second day proved to be better than the first. The first speaker was Mary Ellen Edmunds. Boy was she a hoot! I think I almost peed my pants she had me in stitches! There were also multiple performances by Hillary Weeks a contemporary lds artist who I fell in love with. her voice is so angellic! The messages were all so wonderful. I had many a teary eyed moment. I also had the chance to run into a friend of mine who just had a baby last month. I didin't take nearly as many pictures as I intended to as I was too busy enjoying myself! The ASL interpreters were great! We stopped at a gas station near the airport to fill up for the trip home, and nearly had a heart attack when a plane came roaring over our heads! We waited for the next one and snapped a few pictures! Then, on the drive home, there was a freak rain storm that was so intense and sparotic (spell?) but while it was pouring it was pretty impossible to see the road. still, I managed to keep my cool and get us home safely. Anyway, it was quite the weekend!
